After 3 days in Barcelona, Johnny and I headed to Lisbon for 2 days.
I fell in love.
I don’t know why, but it seems that Portugal is often overlooked. If you’re ever in Europe, go to Portugal, seriously. Lisbon was utterly romantic! Lisbon reminded me of San Francisco, with all the hills and the cable cars. There’s so much more I could write about, but the pictures can definitely do all of the talking for me.
Lisbon was everything I love about a city. Beautiful architecture, friendly people, a metro that stays open until 1am during the week, amazing food, gorgeous weather, charming cobblestone and mosaic streets. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.
I don’t know what it was about the coffee in Portugal (in Lisbon and Madeira), but it was magical, definitely made from little pieces of heaven. I’m not a heavy coffee drinker, but I had coffee every single day I was in Portugal.
I seriously freaked when I saw a real rooster…lol!

yay!! Have fun!
Loving your photos, going there in May
Thank you!
Gorgeous photos–you captured so much of the details that I always fall in love with in a city. Always a sucker for clotheslines
p.s. looking super stylish and pretty! Love that scarf!
Thank you so much!!! The scarf is from Target, one of my favorites!
What a lovely collection! Really glad you loved the city. It’s a special place, and you captured it very well.
Thank you Kate!
I love the bold colors and bright skies in your photos. Looks absolutely darling!
it was super gorgeous. We had the most perfect weather!
It’s beautiful! San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and I would looove to see it’s European twin. You are good with a camera. I can’t wait to see what you shoot when you come to Korea.
So excited! We gotta have a meet up soon!
Is there some kind of connection with roosters in Portugal? That was a weird souvenir to buy.
Yeah, it’s a HUGE thing in Portugal. The roosters were everrryyywhere. Apparently the rooster is in a Portuguese folk story, where the rooster represents honesty and truth or something….lol!
Lisbon is such a little gem! I can’t believe I didn’t go there sooner – I absolutely loved it too!
Isn’t it? I fell in love!
I too fell in love with Lisbon, what a great vibe, not to mention a great workout for the legs lol! I agree, Potugal is overlooked…umm maybe that’s a good thing.
) Love the blog.
p.s. your hair tip worked wonders..thanks a million.
YAY!! I’m so happy!!!
Gorgeous! Now I want to go.
Buy that ticket girl!
Excellent photos: really enabling! I’ve heard the food is stellar in Lisbon so that’s another excellent reason to go.

Hi! I love your pictures, they’re beauooootiful! Just wanna ask what camera are you using?
Hi Rozanne! Thank you so much! I use a canon s95 point and shoot. It’s amazing!!
Hi Sheryll,
You’ve taken a great set of photos.
I’ve been to London and Paris and from my small experience, I think that all cities have their own magic.
I must say that Paris makes us want to go back.
I’d really like to visit Italy.
As for Lisbon and Portugal, I think that one of the thinks that make it special is being small and offering many different things in a couple of hours of traveling distance.
If you return, don’t forget to visit Sintra, in case you havent.
Take care,
José
