The votes are in – The Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial oil was the most requested review on my Instagram and Facebook pages (don’t worry, I’m still going to review the Goodal Murumuru seed gel cream).
I got the Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil as part of my Glow Recipe haul a few months ago. I am obsessed with using facial oils at night, and all I had to see was fermented stuff on the ingredient list for me to say a silent YASSSS and place it in my cart. Most really great oils are hella pricey, so at $40.00, I just couldn’t pass it up.
The Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil is packaged in a small, glass bottle with a dropper. The packaging is super luxe and pretty, and contains 30mL of product. You only need a couple of drops of oil per use, so I imagine that this bottle will last quite some time.
Let’s talk about the ingredients, shall we? The Whamisa oil is a gorgeous blend of argan, olive, hazelnut, jojoba, camellia oil, carrot seed, evening primose, and more. My bae licorice root extract is included too, as well as some fermented flowers. There aren’t any sketchy ass fillers, parabens, artificial dyes or fragrances, mineral oil or silicone. GET YOUR LIFE.
This oil smells like love and flowers. Seriously, the scent is lovely and smells really natural, not like a cheap, synthetic floral fragrance. I’ve even mixed a little bit of the oil in my body lotion so I can smell like it. I’ve even debated using it in my hair. It’s that good!
It feels really nice on the skin too. I HATE oils that sort of just sit on your face without absorbing, leaving behind a weird clingy film. Not so with this oil. I usually use it alone, but sometimes I add a drop or two to my nighttime moisturizer so I don’t have to add do an extra step. #Lazy. If I use it alone, I take a few drops, warm the oil in the palms of my hands, and gently massage it in my skin for a minute or 2. That’s the key, you wanna work it into your skin. With any oil, you can’t just slap it on like the rest of your skincare. Work it innnnn. Anything that’s left over on my hands I massage into my cuticles.
It absorbs like a dream, and leaves my skin GLOWING. Glow-ing. It’s perpetually summer here in Vietnam, but I know it’s getting chilly some places, so if you live in a cold climate and want to use it during the day, I highly recommend it. Shine bright like a diamond girl! The benefit of adding an oil to my nighttime routine is that it helps balance my skin, and as a result, my skin isn’t nearly as oily.
Overall, I’m really pleased with the Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil and am definitely placing it on a must repurchase list. It’s mostly organic, has great ingredients and is a great price (I’m side eyeing those $90 oils that are just scented mineral oil with a brand name attached to it…you know who you are). It’s a beautiful oil in every way!
