Introducing IASO

I can’t believe I haven’t written in 2 months. *hangs head in shame* Time is just flying by and I’m not sure how it seems to be moving faster and faster each month.

I’ve been in Phuket a little over 3 months now, and have been killing it with the fitness camp thing here. I’ve finally found my groove, and I’m just so proud of myself. I did a 185 pound deadlift the other day and literally almost cried. Strength training is life, yo! But we’ll talk more about my life later. On to the good stuff!

One of my favorite things about being a beauty blogger is finding out about new brands. In the K-beauty world, there seems to be a new brand coming out just about every day. A new to me beauty brand, IASO, contacted me about trying some of their products, and after a browse through their website, I was sold.

IASO is a Korean brand that’s been around since 2001. I was drawn to their exfoliating products, which are made with ingredients like my boo thangs glycolic acid and lactic acid. Even though we have options like cosrx and Neogen, it’s still hard to find chemical exfoliating products in K-beauty. If there is any opportunity to try any sort of chemical exfoliating product, I’m ALL over it. Ya’ll know how I feel about my acids!

The IASO Intensive Clear Booster is a exfoliating serum/toner of sorts. It’s formulated with aloe, glycolic (3.7%), lactic (3.8%), and salicylic acid (0.3%) for a lightweight acid exfoliating experience. It has a lightweight, watery serum texture, and sinks into the skin immediately without any sticky residue. I use it after I double cleanse and tone at night, although it’s definitely gentle enough for me to use during the day. It leaves my skin feeling soft and silky smooth. It doesn’t have the best scent – but honestly, I haven’t really found any AHA or BHA that does. Someone needs to get on that, stat!

The IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner is a skin prepping toner. It’s formulated with salicylic acid, aloe vera, green tea and licorice extract. It’s a lightweight, yet hydrating toner that offers some mild chemical exfoliation. It’s different than any other hydrating toner I’ve tried in that it has a more lotion-y consistency, rather than water. On days when I’m running out of the door or I’m super tired at night, I just swipe this on and move on to my next step. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a super gentle exfoliator, this one is for you!

The IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil is a oil cleanser that’s formulated with Moroccan Ghassoul clay. Clay + Oil cleanser is a pretty badass combo, if I do say so myself. I can’t be bothered to use clay masks, but I do know how beneficial clay can be for the skin, so this cleanser is the perfect combo for me. I don’t use this to remove makeup as it stings my eyes, but it’s clutch after a hard workout when I’m ridiculously sweaty and I want my face to feel nice and clean. Even though it’s made with clay, it doesn’t strip the skin dry.  It leaves my skin plump, smooth, and feeling hydrated. Remember to shake it up before you use it though, otherwise the pump can get clogged.

IASO ships worldwide and readers of The Wanderlust Project can get 15% off all orders by using the code IASO4EVER. Go forth and get your glow on!
