Bali – Day 2

For our second day in Bali, we started off by visiting Cantika Zest Spa. It was a magical, glorious, and utterly relaxing experience. Johnny got a body massage, while I took part in their beauty workshop and facial. I got to make my own facial scrub, toner, and face cream! I don’t want to go into too much detail about it though – you’ll have to wait for my article about it in Glamtrotting Magazine! Just know that if you’re ever in Bali, you’ve gotta go to the beauty workshop. It was fantastic!

After the spa, our driver picked us up, and we set off to do more sightseeing. We went to Goa Gajah, or the Elephant Cave temple,┬áTegenungan waterfall, and had lunch. Then we did what I love to do most – GO SHOPPING! I stocked up on some incense for the apartment, soaps, coffee, body scrubs, and face masks. Bali is magical, for sure.

Stay tuned for the posts on Gili Trawangan because GIRL. It was unreal.

Bali – Day One

To say Bali is beautiful is an understatement. It’s literally one of the most gorgeous places I have ever traveled to. I don’t think I could get my jaw off of the floor at times. And even though our days were jam packed with sight-seeing, spa-ing, and eating, I was just so relaxed the entire time. There’s something about Bali that just brings out your inner peace.

Our first day, we set off with our awesome driver to see the Sacred Monkey Forest (which I was terrified of before we went but the monkeys aren’t even that crazy unless you provoke them), Tampak Siring (or the Holy Spring Water Temple), the picture perfect Tegalalang rice terraces, and we capped it all off with a tour and tasting at a coffee plantation.

I actually burned a little bit! The sun in Indonesia is NO joke. It’s supposed to be rainy season there now, but there was ZERO rain to be found. Whew. How do you ladies in Indonesia manage to wear makeup? What products do you use for oil control?! I’m pretty sure I sweat my life away at least 12 times over. I’d love to know your tips on how to stay fabulous in such hot weather.

Stay tuned for our Day two, and my current beauty favorites! Thanks for sticking around!!
