Ma Belle Box – Vietnam’s First Beauty Box

mabellebox

Living in Ho Chi Minh City is great. There’s delicious food, friendly people, and warm, sunny weather. But things get a bit murky when you’re faced with having to shop in the city.

Beauty shopping in Ho Chi Minh City is difficult. Yes, major beauty brands (Western and Asian) are here, but the markups are often so awful (literally $25 for a FaceShop eyeliner #GIRLGOODBYE) that it’s better to just wait until you make a major trip back home. Or you can put your faith in the mail system and cross your fingers that everything makes it to you in one piece and you don’t get charged a bajillion dollars in taxes and customs fees.

That’s why I’m SO happy about Ma Belle Box, a beauty startup that launched in Vietnam this summer.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil Review

whamisafacialoil1

The votes are in – The Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial oil was the most requested review on my Instagram and Facebook pages (don’t worry, I’m still going to review the Goodal Murumuru seed gel cream).

I got the Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil as part of my Glow Recipe haul a few months ago. I am obsessed with using facial oils at night, and all I had to see was fermented stuff on the ingredient list for me to say a silent YASSSS and place it in my cart. Most really great oils are hella pricey, so at $40.00, I just couldn’t pass it up.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Eye Essence Review

I admit that I haven’t used an eye cream regularly since I used the Innisfree EcoScience one AGES ago. To be honest, I never really bought into the whole eye cream thing. Why can’t I just use my same moisturizer, but apply a little less around the eyes? But then I was browsing Glow Recipe and saw the Whamisa Organic Flowers Eye Essence and thought I’d give it a try. It checked all the boxes I look for in a product: fermented ingredients, pretty packaging, brightening properties, anti-wrinkle (hey…I’m nearing my 30s, gotta keep it together!)

My Current Nighttime Skincare Routine

main-image copy
You’ve asked for it, and here it is – my updated nighttime skincare routine!

I’ve streamlined my routine into using these same steps every single night, without fail. Since I’ve introduced acids into my routine, I no longer experience breakouts, and my hyperpigmentation is nearly gone. Bless. My focus for my skin is to keep it smooth, bright and clear, and make sure it’s absolutely 100% clean. The pollution here + sunscreen + makeup = gross face at the end of the day.

Biologique Recherche Lotion p50 Review

biologiquerecherchep50

Behold. Above you is a picture of one of the most, if not the most amazing skincare product on the planet. If you were coming here hoping that Biologique Recherche Lotion p50 was gonna be a bust, well…you’re out of luck because this stinky ass shit is LIFE CHANGING. LITERALLY LIFE CHANGING. I’ve been on this planet for 28 years and my skin has never looked better. I’m constantly getting compliments, my makeup looks flawless, and my skin is soft, smooth, and acne/mostly acne scar free. WAY UP I FEEL BLESSED.

I have reviewed many skincare products over the past few years. I have liked and loved a good 90% of the things I have tried. Most of the products I have tried and continue to use have done wonders for my skin. But the Biologique Recherche Lotion p50 is in a whole different category. Lotion p50 has set the bar so high I don’t think there is anything that can compare. People call it Jesus in a Bottle, and bitch…that’s pretty much what it is.

What IS Biologique Recherche p50 lotion? At its most basic, it is a balancing, exfoliating acid toner. It exfoliates your skin, and balances your skin’s pH, combats excessive oil production, hydrates the skin and can also be used to treat ingrown hairs! It also fades hyper pigmentation and clears blemishes. All skin types can use Lotion p50, although there is p50V for maturing skin, and p50W for sensitive skin.
